Day-by-Day Itinerary

When they arrived in Kathmandu, the group was received at the airport by a compass representative. After a brief welcome, the students commenced their drive to Bandipur, which took approximately three hours.
Bandipur is a livable hill town which is well preserved and famed for its Newari architecture as well as for unobstructed views of the mountains. It is now a quaint cultural destination with cobbled streets and renovated heritage homes.
In the evening, the group assembled for a pre-trip discussion session. This helped the students to get acquainted with the trip leader and the supporting team, the program schedule, as well as ask any queries they might have regarding the adventure activities that would be undertaken during the trip. After this, the students were escorted to the designated place to enjoy two adventure activities:
Caving:
The Bandipur area has limestone caves that had been formed over thousands of years. Under the supervision of professionals and with the right kind of safety equipment, the students were able to explore these natural caves. This helped the students to work in teams and build their confidence levels.
Rock Climbing:
Rock climbing sessions were organized for the students. These sessions included safety harnesses, helmets, and instructors. Rock climbing helped students develop physical strength, concentration, and trust among team members. Climbing also offered students a taste of Nepal’s emerging adventure tourism industry.
The day was full of thrill and learning, after which the group proceeded to their accommodation at Bandipur for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, the group drove to Rupakot, a quiet hill destination near the Pokhara Valley.
The resort in Rupakot is surrounded by unpolluted village life, greenery and different species of flora and fauna. From this vantage point, students could enjoy the panoramic view of Begnas Lake, Rupa Lake, and Fewa Lake.
On clear days, the Himalayan range of Annapurna can be seen rising dramatically in the distance. From even a distance, the snow-covered Annapurna region, known worldwide for trekking and mountaineering, created a certain impression.
In the evening, a short hike around the resort gave the students an opportunity to get closer to the rural areas of Nepal. They also interacted with the surrounding environment and reflected on the contrast between the urban and village lifestyles. Over-night stay was at Rupakot Resort

Breakfast was followed by a one-hour journey to Pokhara, which is widely known as the adventure hub of Nepal. Set beside Fewa Lake and against the Himalayas, Pokhara is a major focal point of outdoors and tourist activities.
Following lunch, students went to their activity site for one of the most exciting highlights of the trip – the zip line experience.
This zip line is one of the tallest and longest in the world with a 56-degree incline, 1.8 kilometers of total length, and a vertical drop of 600 meters. The ride gives a bird’s eye view of the surrounding landscape of forests, hills, and the distant Annapurna mountain range.
The safety standards were strictly adhered to, from harness checks to professional supervision. It was an exhilarating and empowering experience, which pushed the students beyond their comfort levels.

Post Breakast, the group left Pokhara towards the rafting site on the Trishuli River. Trishuli is one of Nepal’s most popular rivers for white-water rafting suitable for beginners and intermediate participants.
The complete rafting session took about 2 and a half hours. Generally, the river had rapids of Grade II and III, which provided the right amount of thrill and adventure with challenges that are not too hard to handle. Under the supervision of expert rafting instructors, the students got to experience the waves, learnt the art of paddling, and worked together as a team.
On completion of the rafting segment, the group reached the riverside camping site. Camping was a new experience of learning. The students learnt to adjust to the outdoors and the quiet sound of the river during the night.

The group departed from Trishuli to Kathmandu after breakfast on the bus, which took approximately three hours.
The students had their lunch after reaching Kathmandu and then moved to Thamel, which is one of the busiest and most vibrant areas in the city. Thamel is particularly famous for its shops selling souvenirs, handicrafts, trekking gears, and local goods. The students used this shopping experience to purchase gifts for their family and friends while they learned about how Nepal’s tourism industry operates.
At the end, the trip leader headed to the airport with the group and saw them off, making the last important trip arrangements.
