This is the most important day of your 10-day Annapurna Base Camp trek.

First, you will reach Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC). Machhapuchhre is sacred (no climbing allowed). Also known a Fishtail mountain will be dominating the horizon here. Then head towards Annapurna Sanctuary, surrounded by Himalayan mountains on all sides.

The trail opens into a glacier basin with dramatic views of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre, placing you right in the heart of the Annapurna sanctuary.

After reaching the Annapurna Base Camp, you’ll be rewarded with stunning 360° views, the essence of the trek to Annapurna Base Camp.

Rise early to see the sun rising over the Annapurnas, one of the most memorable moments of the Annapurna trek.

After breakfast, make your way down through MBC and Deurali to Bamboo. The descent takes around 6–7 hours and is quite easy, but can be quite straining for the knees.

Descend for 5–6 hours through forest trails and stone staircases toward Jhinu Danda.

In the evening, you can take a rest at the hot springs near the riverbank, considered the best part of the Annapurna Base Camp trekking experience.

The hot springs are about twenty minutes downhill from the village and are a perfect natural recovery after your ABC trekking journey. This will help to refresh your tired muscles after days of trekking.

After breakfast, drive back to Pokhara.

In the evening, enjoy a boat ride on the Phewa Lake and watch the reflection of Machhapuchhre.
