Many thrill-seekers want to reach the Everest Base Camp, often settling for the usual travel methods. However, Prime Holidays travel and tours present you a better option: the Everest luxury trek with heli, a stylish way to experience the Everest.
Instead of just settling for the standard comfort, our Everest luxury trek with heli will offer you high-class amenities. We have combined the adventure of trekking with world-class accommodations, personalized services, and exceptional meals for this trek.
However, the highlight is the helicopter flight at both the start and end of the 11-day luxury Everest Base Camp trek. This level of luxury and comfort will therefore let you concentrate solely on the adventure without the worry of the usual hiking challenges.
Additionally, our Everest luxury trek with heli is surprisingly economical compared to the standard Everest trek; trust us, the cost isn’t too steep. So if you like to mix the adventure with style and comfort, then the Everest luxury trek with heli is the one you should join.
The journey will take you in a helicopter from Kathmandu to Lukla. You will then follow the flow of the Dudh Koshi River and the terrain of the Sagarmatha National Park to reach Namche.
This bustling Sherpa market town is also home to the Everest View Hotel (3880 m), the highest in the world. Your path will then lead you to the Tengboche Monastery, an incredible place to witness unique Buddhist rituals and enlightenment, along with the gorgeous view of the Ama Dablam.
Next, Dingboche Village will present you with the challenge in the form of 5050 m tall Nagarjun Hill. The latter days will then take you to Gorakshep (5160 m), the highest lodge settlement.
It will guide you to the ultimate goal of our Everest luxury trek with heli, the Everest Base Camp (5364 m), where you will be right in front of the notoriously famous Khumbu Icefall.
Then, you will ascend the black slopes of Kala Patthar (5644 m), where Everest will not only seem very close but also impressively large, beautiful, and majestic.
And don’t forget, you will also have Taboche (6495 m), Ama Dablam (6812 m), Pumori (7161 m), Khumbutse (6639 m), Lhotse (8516 m), Baruntse (7162 m), Thamserku (6608 m), Lingtren (6749 m), Changtse (7543 m), Cholatse (6440 m), Nuptse (7861 m), Island Peak (6165 m), Makalu (8485 m), and Lobuche (6110 m) waiting for you to admire their stunning profiles.
Finally, you will return to Gorakshep, where a helicopter will pick you up and take you back to Kathmandu. Thus, our Everest luxury trek with heli is the easiest and most luxurious way to experience the Everest vibe, making it accessible even for those with a moderate level of fitness.
It is particularly enchanting during the beautiful celebratory seasons of spring and autumn.
Today you will land in the enchantingly chaotic city of Kathmandu. AT TIA, the Prime Holidays correspondent will be waiting for you to receive you and drive you to your chosen four-star hotel.
Enjoy the enticing atmosphere of Nepal for a while. In the evening, you will meet our guide and have a chance to ask any questions and learn about the details of our Everest luxury trek with Heli.

Today, our Everest luxury trek with Heli begins at the TIA domestic terminal, from where we will board a shared helicopter to fly towards Lukla.
For about 45 minutes, you can enjoy the lush aerial views of Kanchenjunga, Annapurna, Makalu, and Everest as well. Once we arrive in Lukla, you will meet the rest of the team (porter and guide) and then begin your short and light downhill trek to Monjo.
Mount Kongde Ri keeps illuminating in the sky as we travel softly beside the Dudh Koshi. We will descend through numerous delicious towns of Chheplung, Chaurikharka, Thadokoshi, Ghat, and then reach Phakding.
We will be fortunate to see Mount Khumbila and Kusum Kanguru here. From Phakding, our trail will gently rise north above the Dudh Koshi. A typical Nepali bridge will take us across Benkar Village and then to Monjo, where Thamserku will happily greet us.
We are now inside the Sagarmatha National Park and will have to submit our permits at the checkpost for inspection. Then, our first Himalayan rest will occur in a beautiful, warm lodge.
Activity: Helicopter flight & Trek 4-5 hours

From Monjo, we will descend to the Dudh Koshi River to cross yet another bridge. The trail ahead will now climb to Jorsale and continue through a sharp forested trail till we reach the point where we see Bhote Koshi greeting the Dudh Koshi River.
The 135 m high Hilary Suspension bridge with Mount Taboche will then guide our path, after which we will ascend to Top Danda, where for the first time we will be able to look at Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse Peaks.
The final stretch to Namche will be a little bit steeper, but nothing we cannot manage. Rest with delicious butter tea and relax for the evening.

The locals call it Dawa Choling Gompa, where we can see the ancient relics, stupa, prayer wheels, paintings, and statues. After this visit, we will head to our lodge for a beautiful evening with Ama Dablam, Everest, Nuptse, and Lhotse.

Lots of stone chortens here are lined up in memory of those who died in the Everest mission. The descent from the pass will then lead us to the steeply sloped terminal moraine of the Khumbu Glacier, where large peaks of Khumbutse, Lingtren, Lobuche, Pumori, and Mahalangur Himal stand in front of us.
Shortly, we will be in the rough dry terrain of the Lobuche Village right below the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier.
Activity: Trekking 4-5 hours

Lobuche Peak and its base camp seem astonishingly clear from up here. Now, we will steeply ascend the glacial slopes of the Changri Glacier and witness the first sight of Kala Patthar below Pumori.
We will be at Gorakshep eventually, where we will take a lunch and a short rest. We will then continue our upward trek through the dried-up Gorakshep stream and pass by the memorials of the Indian Army mountaineers.
We will be standing next facing the perilous Khumbu Icefall, but Everest will not be seen to our eyes. Instead, Nuptse, Khumbutse, and Pumori will erect tall as a delightful feast for our eyes.
Now, we will head back down to our small lodge in Gorakshep for the night.

The months from March to May (spring) and September to November (autumn) are seen as the best times for the Everest luxury trek with heli. Thanks to clear skies, mild temperatures, and excellent conditions, these two seasons create an excellent time for the trip.
During these times, you not only get the most pleasant weather but also the opportunity to see the finest Himalayan views, with rhododendrons blooming in spring and stunning mountain views in autumn. Plus, the stable weather during these two seasons allows for timely helicopter flights into the Everest region.
On the other hand, the monsoon season (June to August) usually brings heavy rainfall and poor visibility, which can delay helicopter flights and block the trekking routes.
Winter (December to February) comes with its own set of challenges, like snow and cold temperatures, but the days can be bright, dry, and sunny, making it a pleasant time for our Everest Base Camp luxury trek with heli.
Our Everest Base Camp luxury trek with heli offers you all sorts of facilities, comfort, and a straight helicopter flight to Lukla from Kathmandu and to Kathmandu from Gorakshep.
Still, it is a level II moderate mountain hiking adventure, but you don’t need any technical climbing skills or experience. However, you should be in good shape, mentally tough, and able to handle altitude since oxygen levels drop significantly in the latter days at higher grounds.
The highest point of the Everest luxury trek with heli is the Everest Base Camp itself at 5364 m and Kala Patthar at 5644 m. Therefore, acclimatization is very important; otherwise, altitude sickness can attack you anytime.
Also, the other difficulty comes from the ever-changing weather that can be sunny in the beginning and suddenly windy and cold at night. The trail also has some steep climbs, long descents, and rough terrain, especially around Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, and Gorakshep.
However, our well-planned itinerary with a gradual pace and plenty of rest days will help you tackle these challenges.
Our Everest luxury trek with heli is a fantastic way to absorb the beauty and thrill of the Everest region while also enjoying the world-class comfort.
With comfortable accommodations, personalized services, a helicopter flight, and jaw-dropping views, this trek is ideal for anyone looking to complete the adventure in Everest in style.
If you are reasonably fit, you don’t have to think twice to take part in our Everest luxury trek with heli. You can be an experienced backpacker, new mountain adventurer, families, lone guests, explorers or couples.
However, if you have any existing health issues related to the heart or lungs, we suggest you seek the guidance of expert healthcare providers before undertaking this adventure. Also, if flying high makes you anxious, please give some thought to our Everest luxury trek with heli.
Our Everest luxury trek with heli is all about a more comfortable and service-oriented experience that you will not get in the usual Everest Base Camp treks.
The quality lodges, modern conveniences like hot showers, cozy beds, and Wi-Fi, along with excellent meals, efficient assistance of a guide and porter, and personalized service make this adventure truly exceptional.
It also removes the hassle of a midnight drive to Ramechhap for a flight to Lukla. Instead, a helicopter will fly you directly to Lukla and fly you back to Kathmandu from Gorakshep, thus cutting down your trekking days.
Therefore, with this level of comfort, you will be able to focus only on the breathtaking beauty of the Everest without stressing over the usual trekking challenges.
We cannot deny that altitude sickness is prevalent in our Everest luxury trek with heli. We have included helicopter flights at the start and end of the trek, but you will still be exposed to the high altitude environment for several consecutive days.
Remember that at altitudes over 4000 m and 5000 m, the air contains only a third of the oxygen that we breathe at sea level. So, it’s normal to feel the effects of oxygen deficiency, which is the major cause of AMS.
However, if we give our bodies enough time to adjust to the low oxygen levels, we can significantly reduce the risk of AMS. That’s why we have added rest days in Namche and Dingboche, which are essential.
During these days, you must follow our guide’s suggestion and take the rest of the short hikes as he instructs. You should also take your time, enjoy the journey, and drink plenty of water, up to 4 liters a day.
Also, make sure to sleep and rest early in the evening. If you experience extreme fatigue, shortness of breath, headaches, nausea, or dizziness, talk to our guide right away.
Please respect his decision if he suggests descending or stopping the climb. You can also take medications like Ibuprofen, Aspirin, or Diamox to alleviate symptoms and fight AMS.
Since you will still be hiking even after the helicopter flight, it is therefore really very important to prepare well for a successful Everest Base Camp luxury trek with heli.
This adventure needs you to be in very good physical shape and have good mental strength as well. Therefore, we suggest you follow the guidelines we have mentioned below:
In Kathmandu, a very best and most reputable four-star hotel will offer you comfort for two nights. A twin-sharing room will be available to you with its personal bath, hot and cold water, along with free WiFi and an electric outlet.
When you are on the road for the Everest luxury trek with Heli, the family-run teahouses will be your warm shelter. With fresh home-made meals, WiFi, and a hot shower, you will also have your personal bath in your room up to Dingboche.
In Lobuche and Gorakshep, though, the teahouse will be quite humble with shared toilets and dining facilities.
Concerning your dining arrangements, breakfast in Kathmandu and a full board arrangement (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) have been organized. Drinks and snacks will however on your own.
From international to Sherpa items, you can delight in a diverse menu throughout our 11 days luxury Everest Base Camp trek.
And, as for your travel arrangements, Prime Holidays will offer you all airport (domestic and international) transfers (in and out) along with a shared helicopter flight to Lukla from Kathmandu and to Kathmandu from Gorakshep.
We also like to point out that you can also request for a private helicopter flight to Lukla or Gorakshep or both ways during the trek at a tiny extra price.
Cellular communication will be excellent via the Namaste network till Tengboche Village. Beyond this village, the network signal can be intermittent. Ncell network will also serve you, but not better than the government-operated NTC/Namaste network.
You can also benefit from the 4G connectivity they offer at an affordable price. Wifi is also excellent in the Everest region, evident from a live streaming YouTube channel from Lukla, Namche, Dingboche, and Pheriche.
In the Everest View Hotel and some points of Lukla and Namche, you can even enjoy free WiFi. Almost all tea houses along the route of the Everest luxury trek with heli also offer WiFi, generally for a small extra fee, which is often charged on a per-hour basis.
Another easier option would be to purchase the prepaid WiFi card from Everest Link or the AirLink, the two prominent providers that offer WiFi throughout the entire Everest region.
All localities of the Everest region are now furnished with government-powered electricity as well as solar energy. Therefore, you can conveniently charge your electronic devices at the tea houses.
However, after Dingboche, you may have to settle for the common charging facility in the dining area. Please note that charging is restricted to one device per hour (service not included).
Whether to take a private Everest luxury trek with heli or join a group is fundamentally up to you and your desire. However, each one has its own perks.
Private Everest luxury trek with heli will grant you 100% flexibility and a personal service. So if you like to have some personal space, solitude, or wish to travel with your own chosen companion, then a private trip is for you.
Additionally, when trekking, you can also customize your route and a pace that suits you best. And, you will also be able to enjoy a personal helicopter ride to the mountains, without the need to share your seats for the stunning views.
On the other hand, the group Everest luxury trek with heli will help you meet new people from around the world. It will let you share your journey with others with the same spirit and enthusiasm.
Plus, the group travel will be more economical with an added sense of safety and security. However, in a group, you will have to share the helicopter ride, which compromises a bit of your personal and intimate experience with the Himalayas.
But the costs will be shared equally among passengers, a benefit that private treks do not offer.
Travel insurance is a fundamental for our Everest Base Camp luxury trek with heli, not only for getting the permits but also for your safety and financial security.
Reaching up to the Everest Base Camp is a serious business where unexpected turns of events may happen suddenly. Such as illness, fall or slip, serious AMS, or natural calamity for which a helicopter rescue will be essential immediately.
Additionally, if your belongings, like luggage or electronics, are lost or stolen, or if your trip is canceled or postponed, your insurance will help mitigate those losses.
Thus, we request you to get a detailed international travel insurance for our Everest luxury trek with heli that is active in Nepal for a minimum of 11 days of your trip.
Kindly include the maximum altitude for helicopter rescue and evacuation as 5700 m. And, do not forget to also add medical and accidental coverage along with the baggage loss, theft, damage, and trip delays.
Just like for the standard Everest Base Camp trek, the Everest luxury trek with heli also needs two permits: one for the Sagarmatha National Park and another for the Khumbu Local Area.
The Sagarmatha National Park permit grants you access to trek within its restricted zones, while the Khumbu Area permit registers all hikers entering the region, thus facilitating more efficient and immediate rescue operations.
Both permits are free for children under ten. Prime Holidays will handle all arrangements regarding the permits and associated fees.
Our four-star hotel accommodation in Kathmandu during the Everest luxury trek with heli is a luxurious experience in itself. However, if you wish to add even more luxury to your trek, you can upgrade your stay in Kathmandu to a five-star hotel for just US$190 per night per room.
On the trail, also, instead of the typical standard lodges, you can enjoy the high-end Yeti Mountain Home in Lukla, Monjo, and Namche for just US$265 per night per room.
You will have access to WiFi, hot showers, personal single rooms, exceptional national and international meals, beverages, and attentive staff service- everything you desire on the Everest trail.
Now that you have saved a few days from trekking on our 11 days luxury Everest Base Camp trek, why not use that extra time to engage in some other remarkable adventures like:
