Day 1

Arrival at Sunauli - Transfer to Lumbini (Dinner)

Our team awaits you at Sunauli, which is the main entry point between Nepal and India. From there, you head towards Lumbini, a peaceful place famous across the globe as the birthplace of Lord Buddha.

In the evening, you may opt to take a quiet walk around the monastic area. With the serene environment, you are well-prepared to start your journey. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Visit the sacred temple of Maya Devi and the sacred Ashoka Pillar early in the morning. The place is home to the exact spot where Siddhartha Gautama was born. The monasteries of other nations add more cultural importance to the site.

After breakfast, we depart for Chitwan. Along the way, the scenery becomes less spiritual and more subtropical. Upon arrival, we check in and have lunch.

In the afternoon, you can start your first jungle activities in Chitwan National Park. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Today is dedicated to wildlife adventure. In common, events involve:

Today, the exploration focuses on the highlights of Pokhara town’s sightseeing:

  • Davis Falls – A powerful waterfall which plunges down into an underground tunnel.
  • Gupteshwor Cave – This is a sacred cave located near the waterfall.
  • Bindabasini Temple – One of the oldest temples in the region.
  • Tal Barahi Temple – Located on an island in Phewa Lake and accessible by boat.

Enjoy a tranquil one-hour boating experience on Phewa Lake. On a sunny day, you may see reflections of Machhapuchhre and the Annapurnas.

Go through Beni and drive along the Kali Gandaki River Valley to Jomsom. The geography gets interesting. Along the way, you see cliffs and dry areas of the Himalayas.

This is an ancient route used by traders who transported salt, and there is a spectacular view of Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri peaks.

Early morning drive to the temple of Muktinath. Situated at an altitude of 3,800 meters, this sacred site is of importance to Hindus and Buddhists. Visitors bathe under 108 water spouts, believing their sins are washed away.

On the return journey, visit the medieval village of Kagbeni, which has Tibetan-style houses and monasteries.

Later, return to Pokhara.

Drive on to Kathmandu, stopping off at Manakamana Temple where you catch the cable car ride right up to the temple. It is dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati.

After completing your darshan, you continue to drive toward Kathmandu.

  • The Pashupatinath Temple which serves as Nepal’s most sacred Hindu temple
  • The Boudhanath Stupa which stands as one of the largest stupas worldwide.
  • Bhaktapur Durbar Square stands as a popular tourist destination which showcases traditional pottery and medieval architectural designs. 

The drive from here leads to Nagarkot where visitors can enjoy a tranquil evening experience in the hilly area. The site offers visitors a well-known viewing point which displays both the Nagarkot sunrise and the entire Himalayan mountain range.

Wake up at dawn or early in the morning to see the spectacular sight of sunrise over the Himalayas. On clear days, visitors can see mountain peaks that extend through eastern and central Nepal.
